Los Angeles Church of Craft January 17, 2007
I was hoping to have photos and a little how-to for an apartment-beautification project I’ve been working on, but the pre-crafty cleaning and organizing marathon has dragged on longer than I expected, forcing me to postpone the fun part. I’m so ready to do some sewing and picture-hanging but it looks like I’ll have to wait til tomorrow morning. Oh well.
So since boring stuff (ie work and housework) are solidly on the front burner while I’m at home this week, I’m even more excited to head out to the LA Church of Craft meeting on Sunday… as always, Brenda will be hosting the get-together.
I love Church of Craft — I was a devoted member of Sister Diane‘s flock in Portland (in fact, that’s me serving coffee on the right in that photo!) and now I go to the LA meetings as often as I can. It’s such a fun, low-key chance to get your craft on and meet a handful of other like-minded people while you’re at it.
Meeting details:
Come one, come all! Grab your knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery thread, glue, paper, pens, pencils, anything you need to make something cool and join us for the next Church of Craft meeting. Maybe you’ve been tied up making things as gifts for other people. Do you want to make something for yourself? Come on — admit it!
Where: The Coffee Table in Eagle Rock
1958 Colorado Boulevard
When: Sunday, January 21
2:00 until 5:00 pm or so
You can park on the street or in a lot across the way for free. For those of you taking public transportation, many bus lines and the DASH serve this street. Check out the trip planner on MTA.net to plan out your specific route.
Hope to see you there!
